The bare taste

At De Cecco Pasta tasting is the final sublime pleasure. It’s a ritual of the senses, where sight, smell and taste are brought together for a unique moment. The ritual has different steps, reaching its peak when the taster is truly conscious of act of tasting. How do you taste a good plate of pasta? Once the pasta is cooked according to instructions, put it on a plate without sauce and check the sweet aroma of durum wheat while it is still steaming and also the color which has to be the straw-yellow of semolina. We can now move on to the real tasting with undressed pasta, appreciating the full flavor, cooking firmness, and roughness, which makes De Cecco unique. With just a drop of oil, pasta tasting reaches its peak and gives the tasters, with all their senses aroused, a real gastronomic experience, and one that makes pasta the centerpiece of Italian food tradition.
