
IFS (Vers. 5 higher level)
This is a specific standard for the food sector designed as an operational instrument aimed at qualifying suppliers according to quality, safety requirements and compliance with the regulations of food products. The approach is similar to the one adopted by the BRC and consists of an elaboration of the issues dealt with by the HACCP system, with a particular attention to hygiene and sanitary requirements, to the guarantees relative to product traceability and to the formulation of a number of preventive measures and controls to be confirmed also by a network of qualified laboratories.
