De Cecco is the first producer of pasta in Italy that received the product certification (issued by the DNV Company, one of the most influential certifying institutions in the world) implementing the policy that started some years ago with the adoption of the quality system ISO 9001:2000. This certification, by means of a system of analysis and monitoring performed by an independent third-party institution, attests the product conforms to the characteristics of excellence declared by the certified subject. The adoption of this standard puts in evidence the advantages of quality, which are organoleptic and nutritional. The certified parameters are constantly measured. In this regard, the certification documents quote as follows: “De Cecco is one of the few pasta Industries that, rather than increasing the quantity of product made, aims at preserving product quality “. And it is not a generic "quality", which cannot be better documented to the Consumer, but quality based on real data, on analytical parameters which are already the object of constant measuring and monitoring. This is why De Cecco decided to certify the quality parameters of its products: because without certification, you cannot have certainties, and without certainties you cannot have true quality.
